It doesn't even matter if it is a movement or not. I am no longer giving because I am tired of working hard to spend my money on candidates who turn around and don't deliver once elected. I am no longer donating out of frustration, regardless of what anyone else says. I think many others feel the same way and this boycott will get traction, not through advertising, but through our communal frustration.

"A number of elite gays, like (openly gay Congressman) Barney (Frank), several gay lobbyists with financial interests before the administration, and other LGBTs who were looking for administration jobs, defended President Obama during the DOMA incest/pedophilia brief scandal," Aravosis explained. "And it wasn't enough. The scandal continued to grow, and I think the White House damaged its relations with the community as a result. It didn't help that a number of traditional gay elites came to the President's defense. They simply no longer control the community like they once did, if they ever did." Can you say Joe Solmonese @ HRC ? ....LOL shot keep em coming...He and HRC are such a joke....anyone who gives those fools money to throw another party is just stupid.

Oh yes, by all means. In a nation with two and only two overarching political parties, make enemies of both for our silly selves. What are we going to do? Form a third party? Oh, yes, my, I'm sure we'll have dozens and dozens of Congressmen in our ranks then. We'll have about three mayors in the whole damned nation and otherwise a lot of people looking at us and laughing their asses off at such political naivite.

Boycotting the DNC is immature. Obama ran his campaign on all his supporters staying active and helping to change government AFTER the election. Not quitting on the Democrats. He has risked his entire Presidency on Health Care reform, the least people can do is support him through that and HELP so he has more political capital for social issues. LGBT activists spents hundreds of thousands of dollars to march in DC and all that time, money and energy could have gone to give Maine a win. YOU all are to blame more than the DNC.

These guys should grow up. Progress in Washington inevitably entails "making sausage" give and take (not pretty, and you're lucky to get something half worthwhile when you're done). Does no one remember where we were 12 months ago? Does the name George W. Bush ring a bell? And you want to boycott Obama and his majority party in Congress? The fact is that even with the wind at our backs, the bad guys are out there doing everything they can to block our rights. How do you deal with it - have a hissy fit at your friends? Expressing impatience is reasonable and justified, retribution, especially when so much is at stake and the 2010 elections are around the corner, is just self indulgent.

The blame lays with 1. LGBT leaders-lack of unity and what I term in my BLO the PINKPRINT - no PINKPRINT = haphazard path = blame LGBT leadership. Failure to unify with one message. 2. We can blame ourselves for allowing this fragmentation and sitting back on our pretty butts waiting for a bunch of self serving egotists to the job for us. Blame our good selves not the DEMS - when did any of you last walk the halls of Congress or the Senate Buildings - Lets all get our friggin selves down there and start demanding their leadership. www.lezgetreal.com melanie nathan and oblogdeeoblogda

I said long ago the Dems came with a first with Jimmy Cater, first southerner, this time they came with a choice of two firsts, I was inclined toward Hillary because she was house trained. Mr. Carter lasted one mandate and was replaced and I think the same scenario might play out again. Mr. Obama promised a withdrawal from Iraq. Seen it coming? Once the last GI is outta there the Iraquis'll go back to "same old, same old" so much for the 4000 who died there. Politics are only blah blah, so I called him Ohblahblah, and it looks like it fits. The supreme court of California deemed the one man one woman marriage only unconstitutional for good reason - it is logical - Maine had the same logical attitude, only the voters were against it. Why don't you use this money to convince the magistrates of the land to follow this logic. Olson and Boies are challenging the supreme court and will win. There are no logical reasons why same sex marriage should not exist.
